It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas :)

I was so excited to get Gavin's pictures taken with Santa this year...Unfortunately, he wasnt so thrilled. We decided to do a family picture first because maybe he wouldnt be so scared of Santa! We were able to snap one of him NOT crying....And then once we got up he started screamingggg!! We ended up getting the family picture, but we had to go back because I just loved this one of Gavin and Santa. Both of their faces are priceless :)

Happy Holidays Everyone!

See you all soon!

A little bit of everything....

Hello Everyone!! We have been enjoying our first couple of weeks in San Diego, and we cant wait until it gets a little warmer so we can go out and about and do more things!
Here are a few pictures of what we've done so far...And of course some random ones of Gavin :)

This year we had Thanksgiving dinner on our own in California! I had never made a whole Thanksgiving meal on my own, so I was a little worried about everything turning out. Luckily, it all tasted GREAT! I made turkey, gravy, corn, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pecan pie.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
On Black Friday we decided to skip the shopping and go see one of the beaches nearby. We went to Ocean Beach, CA. I was very surprised to see people out surfing because is was 60 degrees outside. Gavin wasnt being very photogenic that day!

Later that day, we got out the Christmas tree and started decorating! Of course, Gavin just wanted to play with the ornaments...I got a little help out of him!

Such a cute little helper :)

I Almost Forgot!

Here is Gavin's First Year video that I made. I played it at his birthday party, but not until late because I forgot all about it!
ENJOY :)

Marine Corps Ball 2010

November 10 is the Marine Corps birthday, so every year in November each squadron has a ball to celebrate. We werent sure if we were going to be able to go because we just got to California 4 days before the ball, but we got everything worked out while we were in Texas so we were able to go!
HAPPY 235th BIRTHDAY MARINES!!!

We had a lot of fun and they told us Gavin did great at childcare! His teacher said he helped her lay out the pillows for the big kids to sleep on...What a cute little helper!

Happy 1st Birthday to my Prince!!

The day finally came...my little G turned 1! Jeremy and I couldnt believe that it had already been a year since Gavin was born. A lot has happened in the last 12 months, and Im happy to say that despite Jeremy being deployed for 7 months, this last year has been a blast!
While we were in Texas we were able to have Gavin's birthday party so that all of our friends and family could join in the celebration! Here are some pictures of his "Froggy Party", enjoy!
My sister made his CUTE cakes! They turned out great and everyone loved them!We had froggy cookies too!

Gavin had never been in a bounce house before, so this was a first for him.
HE LOVED IT!!

Getting ready to eat some cake!

He wasnt really sure what to do with it...

Jeremy and I had so much fun while we were in Texas, and I know Gavin did too! I was glad we were able to be there for his birthday as well. Thank you to everyone who made it out to his party; we really appreciate it!

LONG Overdue!

Alright, ever since Jeremy has been back from Afghanistan I have been very lazy with updating our blog! It seems like so much has happened in these past few months, so here's a quick rundown....

July and August- Jeremy got back from Afghanistan, so him, Gavin, and I got used to being back in North Carolina. Jeremy's family came up to NC for his homecoming. If you are friends with me on Facebook you can see all of the pictures from that! (If not, then get a Facebook! Haha).

September- Our little family of 3 got reacquainted with each other and enjoyed our time alone as a family again :) Gavin was great with Jeremy...It was like he never left! At the end of September we came home for Jer's post-deployment leave. We had a lot of fun spending time with family and friends...Even though we were going non-stop for the whole 2 weeks we were home! Also, before we actually got to Texas, Sylvia flew to North Carolina and flew back with Gavin that way we didnt have to take him on the 20 hour drive. What a sweet mother-in-law I have! So he got to spend some special Gavin/Nana time with her...and Papaw too!

**At the end of September we also found out some exciting news. Jeremy is now going to be stationed in San Diego, California! That means little G and I will be going there as well :) **

October- Since we found out we were going to be moving to San Diego and leaving North Carolina very soon, we decided to leave Gavin in Texas for a few weeks that way we could pack up the house and get everything done that we needed to without dragging Gavin out everywhere. It was VERY nice of Sylvia to do this for us and it helped us out tremendously! So we did everything we needed and got back to Texas as soon as the Marine Corp would let us (which wasnt soon enough for me!).

We are now back in Texas visiting for a few weeks. This time, while we are here, we have just been relaxing and enjoying being home! We've gone to Scotty's football games and visited with family again. For Halloween we went to my Dad and Denise's and trick-or-treated with them and my sister and her kids! Gavin had lots of fun walking around everywhere and collecting lots of candy for Mom and Dad!

November- This week has been a very busy week for us! Gavin's birthday party is Saturday, so I have been running around all week getting all the goods I need for the party. Tomorrow is Gavin's actual birthday and we have a busy day planned! It's his 1st birthday, so it has to be a good one! First, we're going to Ihop for a yummy birthday breakfast! Then home to nap and get ready for an afternoon at Chuck E. Cheese with all his cousins. Then back home (to hopefully nap again!) and get ready for his Uncle Scotty's LAST high school football game! And then back home to bed to get ready for his Froggy Birthday Party on Saturday :)

We plan to leave early Monday morning to take off to San Diego. Its going to be a longggg drive with our little 1 year old, but I know we'll make it. I know it will be a little hectic for a week or so until we get settled into our new place, but I will try to keep everyone updated on our move, and I'll also put up pictures on my next post!

OH! And among all of this updating I almost forgot to let you all know...our little G is walking now!!!!!! He is now a crazy little boy and getting into anything he can get his little hands on! I love watching him walk everywhere though...SO CUTE!
