My Life

Over the past few weeks, I have realized how much older and independent Gavin is getting. He is trying to repeat a lot more words and he is letting us see his personality even more. If he wants something he will bother you until you get it for him and he loves to watch movies. He is totally OVER his "little kid" toys and pretty much only plays with cars, trucks, or anything that has wheels. He is definitely ALL BOY!!

Every time Jeremy or I get up from the couch Gavin will run as fast as he can to get our "spot", and he thinks it hilarious! He also fakes sleeping when we need to change his diaper, get him dressed, or if we call his name for anything. He will run and lay down on the couch and make a snoring sound...Its so cute but I have no idea where he got it from!

We havent quite started the Potty Training Journey yet; I think he still has a little while before we start that! He loves eating fruit and would eat it for every meal if I let him. Anytime he wants some he runs to the fridge and when I open it he grabs the container of strawberries and grapes. This kid knows what he wants and is not afraid to let you know! We've been lucky enough that Gavin is usually pretty good about taking naps and going to bed. He knows when it is time to go to bed that Mommy & Daddy need hugs & kisses first! I cant get enough of those sweet kisses and loving hugs :)

Overall, Jeremy and I are very blessed to have such a smart, healthy, and sweet baby boy...although he's not a baby anymore! I still cannot believe he will be 2 years old in less than three months!

And now, I will leave you with a picture of our handsome man....

Our Trip to the Firestation :)

Today we got to go to the firestation on base and look at all the firetrucks! They always have fun little events for kids on base, so we decided to take advantage and check it out. My friend Brittany and her son Connor (he is 4 months younger than Gavin) went too.

Its pretty hard to get a good picture of these 2 because they never wanna look at the same time!

Once they were done showing all of their tools and equiment, all of the kids got to shoot the water hose! They all loved it :)

Gavin wasnt too sure at first, but then he got into it.

Everyone got their own helmet and fire safety info!

This was in the movie room...There were rows of these big recliners. Of course, the boys loved sitting in them!

I think Gavin's favorite part was sitting in the front seat of one of the firetrucks. He didnt want to get out!

Speedy Sunday!

Just Wanted To Do A Quick Post Of Our Park Day This Weekend :)

LOVE this smile!

Gavin is growing so fast and he's starting to act more like a big kid lately! He is talking more (only when HE wants to) and is becoming more independent. He thinks he needs to do everything himself and he's such a Momma's Boy! I cant believe our little Baby G will be 2 in three short months! Where does the time go?!? The next time we are home he will be a completely different kid!

Summertime in San Diego!

We havent done too much so far this summer...We have just been enjoying the WONDERFUL weather! Gavin loves to go swimming, go to the park, or pretty much do anything outside! Recently, Jeremy's schedule changed so we are able to hang out with him more during the day. I can tell Gavin is loving being with his Daddy more often :) His favorite part of the day is going to jump on Jeremy in the morning to wake him up. Gavin thinks it's hilarious! He loves his cinnamon toast!

He had to sit on his own chair!

BEFORE his big haircut...

And AFTER!!

His hair was very long and was getting way to hard to deal with because it is so thick and grows so fast, so we had to go with a really short cut! I love it but it makes him look so grown up!

Last weekend we went to the Family Day Celebration for Jeremy's squadron. It was the perfect day to hangout outside, and Gavin had so much fun running around everywhere :)

Finally, a family picture!

We are absolutely LOVING the summer weather in San Diego! It is warm enough to go to the pool, but not too hot like I'm hearing it is back in Texas. I dont know what I will do when I have to be in Texas during the summer because I complain when it's 90 degrees here! I guess I've just gotten used to the breeze and low humidity. If only we could live in Texas and have California weather we would be one happy family!

Texas Trip- May 2011

This past May we went home for Scotty's graduation! I didnt take too many pictures (and we were only home for the weekend), but here are the few I did take.

Gavin wanted to be a big boy and sit in the empty seat all by HIMSELF! We got to spend a day with my dad, step mom, brother, and grandparents. Gavin was worn out from swimming all afternoon.
Wagon ride with Cousin Ashtyn!

All dressed up for Uncle Scotty's graduation :)

The last time Jeremy and I were home together was in January, so we took this time to hangout with our friends and enjoy being Gavin-free a few nights!

Sidewalk Chalk!

In Gavin's Easter basket he got some sidewalk chalk, so we decided to try it out today! I wasnt sure if he would play with it or try to eat it, but he actually had a lot of fun :) By the time we were done he was trying to color on the walls of our patio, so we had to trick him into going inside. He stopped to smile for the camera :)

CHEESEEE!!!

Of course Jeremy had to join in the fun too! And of course he wrote "Dallas Cowboys".

APRIL

For Easter this year we arent really doing much, but our apartment complex has an Easter Egg Hunt every year for the kids so we went to that this morning.

Gavin had a lot of fun picking up the eggs!

We invited one of his friends, Connor, to come over and hunt eggs too!

Having fun with his daddy!

Best Buddies :)

We hope everyone has a great EASTER!! We will be back home at the end of May for Scotty's graduation. We can wait to see everyone again :)
