Gavin's 1st Christmas

Unfortunately, Jeremy had to leave for Afghanistan 5 days before Christmas, so he missed Gavin's first Christmas. It was hard not having him here for the holidays, but I made sure to take plenty of pictures so he could see what we did :) He always has a serious look on his face

Jeremy's 21st Birthday!

Jeremy's birthday was November 30th and he was SO HAPPY he was able to still be here to celebrate! Here he is getting carded...WOO!! His first LEGAL drink of alcohol :)

We were staying with our friends until Jeremy left and she surprised him with the house decorated when we got home on his birthday. (The only decorations she had on hand were from a hawaiian party so those were what she put up haha)

Finally...

Ok so I know I'm almost 3 months behind on my blog, so I'll give some quick updates.

Well, as all of you know our Gavin was born on November 5th at 6:40am. After 21 hours of labor and almost 4 hours of pushing he finally arrived!! Jeremy and I were so proud and happy to finally have him with us. We got very lucky and Jeremy was able to stay in the U.S. until the 20th of December. I cant explain how hard it is to be seeing Gavin grow up without Jer here, but he'll be back before we know it and Gavin will have his daddy here again!

The day after we got home the Cowboys played, so of course I made sure he had something to wear!!

It's Getting Closer....

So as some of you know we got some good news this week. First, we found out that Jeremy doesn't have to leave until the 1st week of December (instead of leaving NEXT week)!! This was such a relief for Jer and I because we knew there was a chance he wouldn't be here for the birth of Gavin, but now we know that wont be a problem :) The second thing we found out was the date that I will be induced...NOVEMBER 4th!! If I don't go into labor before then we go to the hospital the morning of the 4th and hopefully Gavin will be here shortly after that.

The doctor said I was 1.5cm dilated yesterday and also said that if everything with the induction goes ok I should have no problem having the baby normally instead of a c-section.

Lets cross our fingers and hope that everything goes great. Gavin will be here in a few dayssss :)

BABY Update

So we had a doctor's appointment this past Friday...

Gavin & I are doing good :) I still have high blood pressure, but nothing that is affecting the baby...at least as of now it's not affecting anything. The doctor did say that since I've had this high blood pressure for the past month that they wouldn't let me go to my due date, so the latest I would have Gavin would be November 4th.

Thats only a week and a half away!!!!

Jer and I are hoping that he will be able to be here for the birth since the dates of him deploying and me delivering are so close. We should find out something this week...PRAY HE'LL BE HERE TO MEET GAVIN!!

If we find out any more information we will let everyone know.

We are all awaiting your arrival and we couldn't be more excited to meet you! Mommy and Daddy talk to you everyday and ask when you're going to come, but you just come when you are ready. Your family can't wait to finally see your handsome face, and it looks like we only have about a week and a half left of waiting.

Deeply In Love

So just to let everyone know, I have the most wonderful husband in the world :) One night last week when I was at work he spent all night making this video for me. It was the sweetest thing...and every time I watch it it makes me cry. I cant help it!!

We're about a month away from my due date, and we couldnt be more ready for Gavin to be here!!! Jeremy and I are getting very anxious and we are praying that Gavin will be here before he gets deployed. We have an appointment this Thursday, so hopefully we will get more information on when we might be able to have him. We'll let everyone know if we find out anything :)
